GFDA Top 12 For The Week

Here is the GFDA Top 12 for this week:
 
1) Hosted visit by advanced manufacturer that has now selected a site in Great Falls to open a new manufacturing operation.
2) TD & H Engineers broke ground on their new office building that we're helping to finance with a SBA 504 twenty-year low interest loan.
3) The new Napa Auto Superstore and the Cafe Rio opened.
4) City Commission approved rezoning of Crescent Drive to allow for light industrial use.
5) Our High Plains Financial Board approved refinancing a $163,000 loan to assist an agri-processing operation in Cascade County.
6) Unmanned Systems, Inc., successfully tested their commercial unmanned aerial vehicle in Montana. Future test flights are planned in Great Falls.
7) Lauren Engineers & Constructors finalized its purchase of land in Bynum for a new oil sand module assembly operation.
8) Participated in a long-range planning meeting with Dr. Waded Cruzado, President of Montana State University, and Great Falls area state legislators to discuss proposed improvements and expansion at MSU Great Falls.
9) Partnered with Snowy Mountain Development to deliver a workshop to 10 business owners in Lewistown on how to manage all the hats a business owner wears.
10) GFDA Board approved a new vision statement for Great Falls in 2030. Here's our vision for what our great City will be in 20 years: "Great Falls is recognized throughout the West as a city that works together to create a diversified economy with excellent career opportunities for professionals, laborers and entrepreneurs. We are a hub for business innovation, agri-processing, energy, health care, education, culture and recreation. Our revitalized downtown and riverside areas have helped us to become the leading visitor portal for Glacier National Park."
11) Worked with business strategy clients on the importance of cash flow projections to manage growth and putting more specifics into business plans to improve potential to secure financing.
12) Moody's projected that total personal income in the Great Falls metro area will grow 4.6% in 2011 and 5.3% in 2012, an increase from the 4.0% in 2010.
