Top 10 for 6-2-2013

1) Signed the first lot sale agreement for the Great Falls AgriTech Park. Pacific Steel & Recycling is purchasing the 57 acre Lot 1 to relocate and expand its operations in Great Falls.

2) Prepared a pre-proposal for a Canadian industrial prospect. Worked with a national site selector gathering information for a client.
3) Worked on tax increment financing projections for a potential major industrial project. Reviewed two business plans for ag-related businesses and provided coaching plans for the entrepreneurs. Discussed employee performance techniques and brainstormed implementation strategy ideas with a primary sector company.
4) Worked with a client to help develop cash flow projections for an expansion project. Talked with a primary sector manufacturing business about market share, market expansion, product lines and rebranding. 
5) Worked with a business to complete the contracting registration and certification process to be able to accept a government contract award. Educated a client on the rules and regulations of Small Business Set-asides. Helped a local company to research an upcoming MAFB contract opportunity.
6) Underwrote a bridge loan to support a large expansion of a nonprofit community health center in the Great Falls trade area.
7) Federal and state officials announced $4 million in grants to rebuild Central Montana Rail's Judith River Trestle, supporting about 100 agricultural producers in the Golden Triangle.
8) The GFDA Nominations Committee presented a slate of 12 GFDA private investors as Board Director candidates. Incumbents nominated for re-election include: Kreg Jones, Davidson Companies; Glenn Lambert, Cascade Farmers Mutual Insurance; Gene Thayer, Montana Milling Inc.; and, Spencer Woith, Woith Engineering. Candidates for new seats include: Amy Beames, Benefis; Julie Duffy, Stockman Bank; Jason Kiser, The Living Room; Paul Leach, Loenbro; Jeff Millholin, Pacific Steel & Recycling; Ron Nelson, Church, Harris, Johnson & Williams, P.C.; Len Watkins, Gusto Distributing; and, Nate Weisenburger, AE2S Engineering. Ballots will be mailed to GFDA private investor members this coming week.
