GFDA Top 16

Here's the GFDA Top 16 for this week, celebrating great things happening to move Great Falls Forward. World Cup Soccer champion Abby Wambach was back in town this week to share her inspiration with Great Falls kids. Why does Abby keep coming back? "There's some sort of energy that is Great Falls for me, that attracts me to it, something wild and adventurous there," Abby Wambach. We couldn't have said it better!

1) Helena Chemical purchased a 23-acre lot in the Great Falls AgriTech Park. The Tennessee-based company plans to start construction this fall on a major agricultural supply facility to serve the Golden Triangle and beyond.
2) We held a pre-construction meeting with BNSF and released Shucker Construction's contract for installation of rail in the AgriTech Park. Energy West began work on installing gas service for the Park. More details in the Sunday Tribune here.
3) With the sale of lots in August and September, we've donated $8,736 to Recreational Trails, Inc. to support maintenance of the Rivers Edge Trail.
4) The Opportunity for Specialty Malting in the Great Falls Montana Region is now available. To read about the competitive advantages the Great Falls Montana Region has, contact Rebecca Engum at REngum@GFdevelopment.org to receive your copy of this business case or our other recently published cases on Pulse Fractionation and Sprouted Grains.
5) Our own Rebecca Engum has been chosen to be Great Falls' first Tourism Director. Congratulations Rebecca! This is great news for the new Great Falls Tourism Alliance's efforts to grow our tourism industry, which also helps us to attract new residents, entrepreneurs and companies. More details in the Great Falls Tribune.
6) Now we need to find a new Manufacturing Partnership Director to build on our recent industrial successes. Please forward this fantastic career opportunity to your friends and colleagues: GFDA Manufacturing Partnership Director Job Posting

Primarily discussed equity requirements and cash flow projections as part of loan packages. For assistance financing your entrepreneurial endeavor, contact Jason Nitschke at JNitschke@GFdevelopment.org
